When my son was struggling with his school work, his teacher suggested that his vision may be the problem and that we should have his eyes examined.  I have always gone to Lynn Valley Optometry for my regular eye exams, so I called and made an appointment for my son.

A basic eye exam showed that no glasses were needed, so they did some tests to evaluate vision skills for depth perception, focusing and visual motor.  After the testing, they recommended vision therapy in Burnaby as treatment.  They gave me a complete assessment of my son’s vision and visual skills and gave me all the information on the results expected and the length of treatment.

I am pleased to report that after a short course of vision therapy in Burnaby, my son’s progress in school has been phenomenal.  His teacher says he near the top of the class and she is amazed at his improvement.

If you think your child has a vision problem that may be affecting his or her performance in school, the first step is to schedule a routine eye exam to rule out nearsightedness, farsightedness and/or astigmatism.  Contact www.lynnvalleyoptometry.com for more information on your child’s vision and the therapy programs they have available.
